Laboratoires Magistra was founded in Geneva in 1943 and has been owned by Dr Ionel Cicotti, Doctor of Pharmacy, since 1981. We originally developed traditional medicines, but later shifted our focus to cosmetics and perfumes.

We manufacture cosmetic products both for our own brand and for third parties (customer orders). Under our own brand, Floritène, we offer more than fifty products.

We are fully equipped for the manufacture and filling of cosmetic products such as creams, gels, emulsions, lotions, ampoules (glass and plastic), perfume, eau de toilette and sticks, with the exception of pressurised sprays. These products can be manufactured based on original formulations or formulas developed by our laboratories.

Our laboratories are certified to ISO 22716:2008.

We also carry out physico-chemical analyses. We specialise in the analysis of cosmetic products, but are also able to perform analyses for other product categories.

Raw materials, finished products or other materials are analysed, depending on the dosage form, in accordance with the methods described in the applicable European or Swiss Pharmacopoeia or according to previously validated internal methods.

Organoleptic analysis

• Determination of appearance, colour, odour, taste

Physical analyses

• Determination of pH, density, refractive index, loss on drying, weight/fill volume.

Chemical analyses

Determination of the content of active ingredients, preservatives or other constituents using the following equipment:
